RE: [Honda-C70] Re: Rear baskets, panniers, something to put grocery bags in?

On the topic of this, I had the opportunity to retrieve one of my
'treasures' from storage today. I've had miscellaneous bits and pieces of
20 years of motorcycle hoarding stashed in the crawl-space of my parents
house that I'd never quite gotten around to cleaning out, even though I long
ago flew from that nest.

I don't remember when or from where I got it from, it's been so long inside
the depths of that crawl-space - but it's a Shoei fiberglass top-box
definitely of mid 1970's - early 1980's vintage. I won't be mounting it
onto this Passport full-time (It's a light-weight scooter, not an AWACS
radar picket aircraft, after all..) - but I'll definitely be setting it up
for easy-on/easy-off in case of need for scooter rally's/longish distance
run usage, once I've spruced the top-box up some cosmetically. It
definitely fits in well with the solo seat/large rack conversion that I did
for my '82 over the past winter. It may even be worth-while to cut the
bottom out to the dimensions of the rack, and re-fiberglass a recessed
bottom so that it sits lower upon the rack - albeit with a little loss in
interior volume as a result. I've had some experience with fiberglassing -
and it's not too difficult to do such a change to this top box - with
nothing to really loose.

I did a quick search online for it - and actually found one on the Ebay -

Still, yet another re-inforcement of why to never throw things out, no
matter how shabby looking it is!
