Subject: [Honda-C70] Emissions control breather filter

I'm finishing up a 1980 build from a couple of basket case bikes. I'm nearing completion and currently installing the emissions control breather assembly. I've found that a small round foam filter inside the assembly is completely shot and I can't find a replacement available. Any ideas? Should I make one, go without, etc...
