Ok,thanks and Success! I was originally asking the question with the assumption the jet was still stuck in the carb.. I know that everyone says it will pop out, but my first 3 attempts were unsuccessful and I deferred to using just the wire to avoid further scarring the tube's exterior. Inspired by your messages and the promise of a guaranteed clean slow jet I finally worked it free (once I was able to get it to turn/rotate freely, it popped out rather easily) and subsequently ran the wire through "the other end" thanks again.

Since this is my first post I thought I'd briefly introduce myself. I'm a computer scientist with minimal mechanical experience (which recently changed),and about a month ago decided I wanted to drive a vintage looking scooter. By chance I found one for $100 and you guessed it, it was a 1981 c70 passport. I won't go into too many details, but I fell in love during the restoration project and now also sprung on a 1982. So hi, and thanks for all the great resources. My question:
