Just got a non-running '82 Passport in Angel Blue. Based upon Mike G's thorough list of things to check/do, I've looked at the carb and now have had my trusted mechanic look at it. He said in his 25 years of servicing bikes, he's never seen a carb in as bad as shape as mine. Lucky me!
Instead of rebuilding it I thought why not just get another one. However, I don't know which to get. The 80-81 on DrAtv is out of stock and I don't know/yet trust the ones on eBay.
Has anyone had any luck with the 82-83 carb on DrAtv's site? Are there other ones I should be looking at? I still have a bit of other maintenance to do before trying to start my baby up to ride for the rest of the season, but I should be ready for the carb next week so I'm running out of time. Any advice would be appreciated!
Finally, I did search the Messages but didn't find much on the '82 DrAtv version.
