Yep if your riding in that 45-48C temps alot, I'd use 20W50, at least in summer. That's damn hot. It only gets up to about 40C here and I generally don't ride much in the heat of the day. I've been using 10W40 and would probably switch off with a 10W30, but there isn't a good cheap one.
I prefer to use cheap oil and change it more often.
