Anything less than $500 that is running, is shear luck!

What should I expect to pay for a C70 or CT90 in decent ride-able condition? Most I have seen listed are in the 900 to 1200 range which seems high but I keep hearing about people who picked up a nice for 300 or so. It that just pure luck or are they overvalued in some areas and undervalued in others? Used Vespas go for ridiculous amounts of money compared to what I think they are worth. A guy at the local lawn mower repair shop has a CT90 for sale and he wants 1500 for it. It was missing the directional signals, looked like they had been knocked off and the spare gas can, which is common. I was going to offer 900 but he could not get it to crank so I walked away. ThanksMichael
