Re: [Honda-C70] Clunky shifting

 

Regarding "too tall to effectively reach the heel shifter", it should be a
simple task to re-position the foot lever on its splined shaft, thereby raising
the 'heel' end and lowering the 'toe' end.
Also, shifting is smoother if the throttle is positioned so that the engine is
not 'pushing'/accelerating the bike and the bike is not 'pushing' the engine as
the shift is initiated.

Most of my problem appears to be just not understanding the mechanism of the
shifter, and trying to shift like a regular motorcycle just without the
clutch. Releasing the shifter slowly helps a lot, and is 90% of the
problem. The other 10% is my size-I'm too tall to effectively reach the
heel shifter, and my feet are barely able to fit under the toe shifter. Not
a huge problem, since this is mostly my Wife's bike.
