Well to start at the top, the carb is different, the 81 choke is pointed forward, the 82 is aft to clear the airbox. The 82 cable mounts on the left grip
the 81 is a push-pull on the headstock., the fuel lines are on different sides
The plastic fairing is different shape.
The electrical is different, no need for the CDI , but then no need for the 12V CDI coil
Would have to sit down and study the wiring diagrams to tell what needs to be changed if anything.
The battery is different and so is the mount style. The two relays for the starter are different and different mounts
will the 12v 82 starter relay work on 6v?
Now you could try running the engine on 12v, just put a resister in the points power wire, points do not like 12v, they like 6v .
Just my mind rattling along.

Hi,
I have a motor sitting around from my 1981 C70 after I swapped it with a 125cc lifan engine.
Now I've found a 1982 C70 online that is non-running and I'm thinking about doing a transplant putting my old carb and engine from the 1981 version in it. Will everything work fine electrical wise or will I have to do further modifications?
