Jean - Yes I had the same dilemma.. The battery simply slides into the bear frame.. There is a tab at the lower edge of the opening that will accommodate a strap arrangement I used a cotter pin to hinge the 'metal' 'U' shaped strap to hold the battery in place --- you'll notice a bolt hole at the top of the opening --- this is where you affix the top of the "strap" to the bike... I hope this explanation makes sense... As for the metal "STRAP" I found a 'BATTERY BOX" on line that was completely useless except it (the battery box) had this STRAP piece attached. I discarded the battery box and used the strap that came with it.... Worked fine.

The battery typically just slides into the bare frame but you can get a trap box from dratv.com if you want. Also, you should be consulting the easily-obtainable parts catalog.
