Try it with the gas cap removed . When you sealed the tank you may have sealed the vents in the gas cap like the body shop did on my 850 Norton . Sure sounds like you are running on just the gas in the carb untill it stops & more trickles in .Baby Huey

Subject: [Honda-C70] '81 Passport Runs For a Few Minutes Then Dies

I'm working on my sister's Passport and having some problems.

It starts up fine, warms up, I drive it around for about 2 minutes then it dies while I'm riding it. I can't figure out the problem. Also the throttle is sticking a little bit.

Things done to combat the problem:
-Rebuilt and cleaned Carb.
-Sandblasted and sealed inside of gas tank.
-New fuel lines.
-New air filter.

Any ideas?
