Mark : If the stand has a rubber bumper at the top remove it . That is what I had to do on my 81. You do have the crescent part & spring on the back side of the stand don`t you ? Baby Huey`s 2 cents

Subject: [Honda-C70] Center Stand Retraction Issue

This is my first post. I have a 1982 Honda C70 Passport with 725 miles on it. Purchased a center stand kit from Dr. ATV (760CS-ZA/44D/37C/44H) which is supposed to fit all C70 Passports 7/10M. I followed the instructions on the Dr. ATV site and have also checked the resources available here for enter stand installation. The stand works fine when extended but it will not fully retracted and so drags along the ground. I feel that it may be an issue with the spring or the crescent shaped part that the spring attaches to. I was wondering if anyone had experienced similar issues installing this stand kit. I took a couple of photos which I could post. Any help would be appreciated.
