[Honda-C70] Re: Big time crank case problems!

 

Hi Jill:

In a word, ouch!

A note for the future, to replace stripped out threads, use a helicoil insert to restore the thread.

As far as the broken case goes, I don't think there is an easy, or cheap fix to that - indeed the easiest maybe to just get a new motor and swap out bad for good.

You might be able to get the case welded up, but chinese metal such as this is of guestionable quality and strength, may warp the case during welding, and will require a teat down of the motor to do so.
