I understand how it works. What is puzzling me is that the carb has never been apart since the bike only has 800 total miles on it and everything looks great but I cannot get the fuel to stop. Oh well,I will work on it today and inform the group if there is success. The 1972 CB750 carbs were a huge job in comparison, especially hooking up choke and throttle linkage, fuel lines, vacuum connectiions,synchronizing,etc.,etc. This looks so SIMPLE in comparison....LOL Thanks for your very kind help! That is generally how it works for all the carbs. Even your 750s I would imagine?

Cleaned tank and carb etc. Bike starts and idles but I have not been successful in repeated attempts to assemble the needle/float and carb continues to flood. Once again, the bike is unmolested and has never been worked on previously. All the pics I have seen in the various online manuals are very fuzzy and I need to see a very clear pic of how the float and needle go in. I just finished a complete 4 carb overhaul on my 72 CB750K and working on this simple nearly new scoot should be so easy that "a cave man could do it"....Any pics or links would be greatly appreciated... HELP!!
