Also look at the area where the leg shield matches up with the headbadge. I believe they are a bit different. That was the main reason why I just got another 81 shield (especially since the 82 headbadge setup is a bit difficult to find).
Plus, I put in a wing nut, left the air box under the legshield (after taping up the bottom), and now I have a usable compartment for small items - like my car keys or cellphone.
Just a thought. If you can make the 82 shield work with an 81 let me know, cause they are cheaper than the 81 shields at DrATV for some reason.
