Sounds like the shift shaft is bent. Did the bike fall over on it's left side?
Is the problem only one way? If so you might have a bent foot peg
hitting the shifter not letting it move all the way to finish the shift.
To know for sure you will have to take the right side cover off and look
at what you can of the shift shaft, but to really get a good look or to
remove it you will have to remove the clutch basket and the primary driven
gear. You will need some special tools and some mechanical knowledge.

Hello all!
Recently, my scooter had troubles shifting from 1 to (2 or 3). I would cut the throttle while riding and press down and it would not engage into 2. I have tried readjusting the clutch but that did not help resolve the problem. Now the scooter won't even shift over to 1 and just remains at neutral... Anyone have similar troubles? Is this a clutch or transmission issue? The pedal used to shift feels stuck? Any ideas on how to approach this? I miss riding this beauty!
Regards,
