RE: [Honda-C70] Anyone tried a different Honda 70 exhaust on an 80-81?

I can`t speak for others but I like my c70 nice & quiet like it is . That said I have modified the exhaust on other bikes I have owned . There are always things to work out like ,will the new pipe clear the brake peddle & kick starter ,where will the mounting bracket go to hold up the new pipe? With an upswept system will I be able to get at the battery ,will the battery cover melt, will the heat boil the water out of my battery? And do I really want to screw things up & maybe damage my baby ? That is my opinion. Baby Huey

It seems that EVERY passport out there runs the stock exhaust. Has anyone ever tried rejetting their carb and putting a DAX, Chaly, or other honda 70 exhaust on their passport?
