[Honda-C70] rebuilding carbs

 

I have not rebuilt any carbs for years, but have done them in the past, just not this type, this small. My first rule is Always Lock the door and do not let sons 'help', learned that 1 the hard way...3 sons and none are mechanically gifted, or wood crafters/carpenters. Those genes must be recessive, oh, well.
I will probably order a kit soon, but have a lot of running to do and phone calls to make, contractors to deal with for air cond in house, strip a 110+ year old roof off that has never been stripped, knee walls, cross ties, a dormer built, new roof put on. . . so Little Bit might just get change of fuel, red bike gets plates and insurance this week so will get out of the garage and I can buy blanks to cut keys at $9/blank. Ouch, so will check the locksmiths in both Springfield, have to go to town anyway,and Jacksonville, have errands there this week. . and hope I find someone who can make me extra keys at a lower cost. . .
thanks for the tip about photos, I had not thought of that. I do admit to owning 2 Honda dealer shop manuals,the 1 with pages in zippered notebook and page sleeves is at Larry's as that's where most if not all the bike working gets done. . .
All 3 of our bikes have a key, but everything else I own has several keys, #3 son has Jeep here that came here with 1 key, I now have 3 keys for it...I like back up keys and I do not want to have to park the bike, hunt for a 'new' ignition switch, change it out and have no key for the helmet and front lock, or hunt for them and end up with 3 different keys to use on the bike...Maggie in IL
