[Honda-C70] Re: Why won't it start? What am I missing? Please help.

Chris,

I have followed your posts and the replies carefully, but am a little bit confused on a couple of things. You have essentially replaced the entire ignition system and still have no spark. Mike G. has pointed to the possibility the ignition switch and/or wiring could be suspect.

Do you have a electrical multimeter, or can you obtain one and run some basic tests and measurements? Since your bike was wrecked, it may have a short in the wiring. You have replaced most of the parts but I have not seen you report any test findings. A professional mechanic is going to run several simple tests to diagnose and locate the problem. No need to know any theory to run the tests, just the ability to observe.

In my files folder is the document for testing CDI.

First test I would run:
Verify my Voltmeter works correctly, disconnect stator, connect AC Voltmeter to stator wiring (as shown in test document). One lead to Black/Red wire from stator, the other to engine ground. Turn engine over, measure AC Volts that feed the CDI. Get anything?

If you can measure with a meter, we can likely figure it out.
