[Honda-C70] Re: Maggie's Gold . .

Bravo Maggie,

Now drive those Hondas as if everybody driving in a car is: blind, insane and stupid :D Because some of them are :(

That means a cushion of air (20 to 30 feet or more) around you at all times! Never let a car get close to you! I used to blow/tap my horn a lot. Especially at cars on either side of me and behind me! Almost never at cars in front :) Got to watch those mirrors like a hawk. Always have an escape route if cars get too close.

I drove a C200, a little more HP at 90cc than a C70, in NYC, NY traffic in the 1960s. Actually the Bronx. Had it up at the redline pretty often, and it had enough that I could escape by speeding up sometimes:) You may not have that option in a C70, but then you aren't driving in a big city, I hope!

Even in a small town, or rural setting, you have to watch for the speeding idiot coming over the hill in the wrong lane, going through stop signs, turning from the wrong lane, question mark turns, no turn signals left turns, etc. etc. etc. It is sad that one must drive constantly assuming the worst possible scenario and even more cautious when the visibility is limited, but eventually one can sort of split one's mind and still enjoy the ride.

You might enjoy this story, since you have the 'right stuff' :)
