Is the 6mm nut the only one that has to be tightened down in Foot pds?
I mean it would make sense seeing it is one of the two nuts for the donut gasket
no?

Just to be clear, see the shop manual "C70 80-81 Passport Shop Manual" (PDF) or (JPEG) in the files section of this group, page 52, shows the nuts Bill is referring to. The gasket, 18291-HB2-900, should be available at any Honda motorcycle dealer, since it is a newer part number. Cheap too. The 6mm nuts at the exhaust port, and the 8mm nuts at the rear mount should also be available. See a parts list for pictures of the muffler, gasket, nuts etc.

for example. The exhuast port nuts may be 'rusted' on, and some good 'penetrating oil' of one kind or another, applied to the threads may help. Kroil, PBBlaster, etc. etc.
When you do get the muffler off, it is usually a good idea to clean those exhaust port studs, and the nut's threads, before reinstalling the new muffler. Then when you tighten the 6mm nut to 6 - 8 ft-lbs you will be feeling the gasket compressing a little, and not just fighting the nut on dirty threads.
