[Honda-C70] Shifting problem 1983 c70 passport

Ive owned my passport for two years. Have it really dialed in and know the basics of this bike. I have taken apart and cleaned the carb several times and adjusted the clutch and idle speed to where it shifts perfectly until the bike gets warmed up. After the first ten minutes I lose first gear. I can shift into neutral second and third gears but lose first entirely. So I adjusted the idle a bit lower and use the choke until its warmed up and slowly take off the choke until bike is warmed and will not die when idling at stop. This doesnt work either and is a point of frustration for me. Please help. Do I need to try a different weight oil? clean the oil screen? New clutch? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
