[Honda-C70] Re: oil

As a motorcycle engine is more unforgiving on the oil (2 stroke more so as its hotter), the higher number declines with time and becomes thinner.
A 10W40 can become 10W30 near oil change time.
Iv heard that Mobile 1 is the best at retaining its viscosity over a given time period.

Just change oil at the right time to keep engine clean and ensure that oil is nice and thick till the end.

I personally add a little additive (stp engine treatment etc) to further increase the viscosity from 20W60 to around 20W70.

Sorry for repeating but the bottom line is to change oil regularly. I do so at 1000 km which is less than 1000 miles. No matter how clean or thick the oil may seem. One guy even told me to change at 500 miles interval.
