Well, somehow they figured out it was a 1970 so they had to find a number someplace to support that. Most states don't require a title for a vehicle over 12 or 15 years old, just a bill of sale. If it has no VIN, you have to go thru some paperwork with the DMV and they will issue a salvage VIN which you then have to get inspected to make sure it is roadworthy and meets all standards for that year. You may or may not have to post a bond to facilitate this. But this is just my info to share as Neb may be way more strict than others. Good luck with the find. I keep looking for a good barn find like that but no luck yet.Michael

Hi all,
I am new to the group and have tried to find the answer to my question via search with no luck.
I purchased a 1970 Honda C70 at an auction with no title and the bike obviously has no VIN. The auctioneers are going to try to find the title but if they can't, what would be my options to register it?
I am in Nebraska so hopefully someone here has some information for me.
Thanks,
Tracy
