[Honda-C70] Re: Gearshift lever removal

 

Just an update my dad surprised me today with a tabletop vice. Haven't been able to actually secure it to a tabletop yet, but I WAS able to use a sledgehammer to precisely & slowly tighten the lever (via the vice) almost all the way back into place. I slipped it back on to try it out but it's still grinding against the crankcase. I'll let you guys know how punching the shaft back into place goes.
