Just to verify, the VIN is located on the riveted onto the rear left-hand side of the frame, just below the seat & gas tank, the engine number (which you may be able to derive a VIN from but no promises) should be under the gearshift shaft & countershaft sprocket cover, usually you'll have to use a toothbrush or something to eat away at years of grease, oil & chain lube to actually see it. Worst (or best?) case scenario it's imported from another market, possibly belonging to someone in the United States Armed Forces.
