Subject: Re: [Honda-C70] Re: Can I do something to increase speed??
I have instigated a plan and even have a backup plan to turn a SuperCub into freeway ready bike. The initial low cost plan involves a Honda Rebel, I just have to have the Highway Patrol check the plates and it's ready to go. The second more technically accurate plan involves the purchase of a cherry or good daily driver Honda Dream 305 which is pretty much what the SuperCub would look like if you made it much bigger and squinted. Hopefully at some point I will have all three bikes in my stables. The Admiral has already given approval for purchase of any reasonably close to running Dream for cheap good deal price.
Some day I do want to try riding my SuperCub down to San Francisco. It's an hour car ride and will probably take me several hours and an interesting pre-planned route. Oddly going across the golden gate bridge isn't the tough part as it's 45mph (and they mean it). On the other hand I want to take regular trips to San Jose at some point which is a two hour trip. The Rebel is a much more suitable vehicle. I've also been told that I'll probably get about the same mileage as the SuperCub which is NOT a freeway bike. I wonder what sort of mileage the Dreams get.
(imagine a cute or dirty tagline here)
