Due to the economic conditions (my wife just got laid off for the 3rd time) I am selling off 3 of my motorcycles, one is my 1981 C70 passport. My granddaughter and I resurrected it in 2006 and at the time I got it it had 694 original miles but had sat in a basement for close to 25 years, We replaced the carb, battery, all light bulbs and seat cover. We cleaned the tank and we have K&N mini gas line filters on both fuel lines, choke cable was also replaced. The bike is currently running and registered and has a clear Connecticut title. The starter was working when the battery was fully charged and new but I currently only use the kick start and it generally starts on the first or second kick. The bike is in good condition for its age and has some dings and chips in the paint but otherwise a very solid, great old bike. I used it to teach my granddaughter how to ride and to run around the neighborhood and back and forth to my daughters house which is a little over a mile away. The bike currently has a little over 1000 miles on it and had a fresh oil change last fall before putting it away for the winter. It has been started and I have ridden it this spring. Insurance is currently $48 per year. I will include all the printed manuals and parts lists and diagrams and a 6 volt Battery Tender. Located in Waterbury, CT - I prefer to sell it as is where it is located. Pictures available. It is what I call a 10 footer, looks fantastic from 10 feet but up close it shows a bit of it age. Asking $1000.
