RE: [Honda-C70] Wet plug

It sounds like your idle jet or passages are plugged. The fact that it floods & wets the plug tells that the main jet is trying to compensate for a lack of idle jet fuel . The jet & passages are tiny & hard to get clean . Worst case is if the idle needle was turned in too hard & the fine wire tip is broken off in the passage . That would give no idle change when adjusting. Good Luck ! Baby Huey PS try 2 to 3 turns before giveing up.

Subject: [Honda-C70] Wet plug

When at low idle, if the engine should die off, I can't get it re-started. When I check the plug, it'll be wet and no spark produced when I try to kick start it. Only when I dry it can it re-start. But when dry or under normal starting, it's always a simple kick and it'll start easy.

This cub had been idled for more than a year thus I had the carb cleaned out before trying to run it. Also, when adjusting the low idle jet, it will not sort of improve the engine running when the screw are between the 1/2 to 2 turn from fully in. What could be wrong?
