I'd avoid additive. For Arizona Summer I'd probably get a good cheap 20W-50 and change it 600-800. I was thinking of doing that here in California, but I seldom drive my bike in the heat of the day so I think 10W-40 is perfectly fine for summer, but then 90 is pretty hot for here. If I were driving in 100+ weather I think 20W-50 would be a better choice.
