[Honda-C70] Center stand SCRAPPING in turns

 

Just mounted my second center stand and the darn thing scrapes the pavement in left hand turns...
Just wondering if I remove the little rubber bumper that came with the stand (that would allow the stand to retract another 1/2 inch) would the stand assy. vibrated and rattle against the frame x-member???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
